We are seeking a skilled Veterinarian to join our team at Alta Vista Animal Hospital, a busy and growing multidisciplinary hospital with a 24-hour Emergency Service, General Practice, and a team of experienced specialists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care and treatment in a fast-paced emergency environment
  • Collaborate with a team of veterinarians and support staff to deliver exceptional patient care
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including diagnostic testing and surgical procedures
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical knowledge and advancements through ongoing education and training
  • Participate in hospital-wide initiatives to improve patient care and outcomes
Requirements
  • Valid Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, enabling practice in Canada
  • Member in good standing of the College of Veterinarians of Ontario (CVO)
  • Experience working in a 24-hour emergency facility
  • Strong leadership skills and a positive team player attitude
  • Excellent diagnostic skills and comfortable with routine emergency surgeries
  • Exemplary customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to handle shift work, including days, overnights, weekends, and holidays
