About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Custodian to join our team at EDJ Property Management Inc. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and supervise a team of cleaning staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Site Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that our properties meet the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Budgeting and Cost Estimation: Prepare and manage budgets for cleaning and maintenance services, ensuring that costs are accurately estimated and controlled.
  • Service Coordination: Coordinate with other departments to ensure that all necessary services are provided, including painting, repair work, and renovations.
  • Financial Management: Maintain accurate financial records, including receipts and invoices, and ensure that all payments are made on time.
  • Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences, and ensure that our services meet their expectations.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
  • Work Environment: The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and high pressure.
