Job Title: Delivery Driver

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Delivery Driver to join our team at Diabetes Canada. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials to various locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and drive vehicles: Safely operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload goods safely and efficiently.
  • Navigation: Use maps and other trip planning aids to navigate routes and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Record Keeping: Record trip information, including vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any issues encountered.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Class 5/5F/G Licence: Possess a valid Class 5/5F/G driver's licence.
  • Criminal Record Check: Pass a criminal record check and be bondable.
  • Driving Record: Have a clean driving record.
Work Environment:

This is a physically demanding role that requires working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. You will be required to handle heavy loads and work in a variety of weather conditions.
