About this Opportunity

Cenovus is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our Value Chain Optimization Department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing digital solutions and data automation to support the use of advanced analytics and visualization tools.

This role will involve combining refining subject matter expertise with data science to develop models and tools that can be used for both diagnostic and predictive analytics. You will work closely with our data science teams and other Commercial and Downstream partners to deliver projects that drive value for Cenovus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement digital solutions and data automation to support advanced analytics and visualization tools
  • Combine refining subject matter expertise with data science to develop models and tools for diagnostic and predictive analytics
  • Work closely with data science teams and other Commercial and Downstream partners to deliver projects
  • Develop and maintain a database of Value Chain Planning & Optimization inputs and outputs
  • Develop data visualizations with a self-serve analytic component
  • Communicate and present complex data concepts and findings to leadership
Requirements
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada/US
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in an intermediate to senior level role working with PowerBI, Spotfire, Tableau or similar software
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related technical field
  • Experience with cloud data management, data wrangling, data modelling, data visualization
  • Experience in implementing digital solutions such as dashboards, information management and decision-making visual analytical tools
