Reporting directly to the Vice-President of Portfolio Management & Taxes, the Financial Analyst in Capital Markets will be instrumental in supporting the finance department by:
Portfolio Management:
- Conducting monthly audits on active portfolios managed by operational partners for invoicing and collections.
- Participating in operational audits with partners to ensure adherence to standards, compliance, and risk management.
- Reconciling discrepancies identified during audits, utilizing both internal and external data.
- Generating audit reports and presenting findings to management.
- Tracking monetary reserves and determining appropriate reserve releases based on portfolio performance.
- Coordinating with internal and external partners throughout the entire transaction cycle (Sales – Pricing – Credit – Documentation – Accounting – Customer Service – Collections).
- Assisting the reconciliation team to ensure comprehensive reports for external investors.
- Preparing all sales documentation (credit files, contracts, analyses, etc.) according to established schedules.
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English (both written and spoken) is required.
- Approximately 1-3 years of experience in a comparable role, with experience in Capital Markets accounting considered an asset.
- Educational background in Business Administration, Finance, or related fields; MBA, CPA, CMA, or CFA designations are advantageous.
- Advanced technical skills, particularly in Excel, are essential.
- A strong understanding of the financial landscape and analytical thinking abilities are crucial.
