Position Overview

We are seeking a Lead Admissions Consultant with a proven track record in admissions (minimum of two years) to identify and recruit students who have the potential to thrive in our programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting the admissions team in organizing and executing recruitment activities, including virtual Open Houses and Information Sessions.
  • Professionally engaging with prospective students to guide them toward suitable programs, addressing their concerns and obstacles effectively.
  • Contributing to the organization’s success by exceeding enrollment targets.
  • Collaborating with the Director of Admissions and the Director of Communications & Marketing to engage leads through various social media platforms.
  • Participating in strategic planning and training initiatives for other admissions staff.

Marketing and Outreach

The Lead Admissions Consultant will leverage every opportunity to promote our programs:

  • Responding promptly to inquiries from potential students and other stakeholders through various communication channels.
  • Representing the organization at promotional events, including evenings and weekends as necessary.
  • Conducting interviews with prospective students to assess their backgrounds, interests, and career aspirations, and advising them on suitable programs and financial options.
  • Providing coaching to prospective students to clarify their career objectives and help them navigate challenges.
  • Maintaining accurate records to track and follow up on potential leads.
  • Meeting and striving to exceed enrollment goals set by the organization.
  • Facilitating the enrollment process for new students, including necessary paperwork and financial aid applications.
  • Reporting weekly to the Director of Admissions on enrollment activities, including leads, appointments, and enrollments.
  • Supporting enrolled students in their transition to school, offering resources for housing and financial aid.
  • Identifying opportunities for collaboration with other organizations to promote our programs.
  • Building referral networks by maintaining a visible presence and assisting with admissions activities.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of two years of experience in an admissions or recruitment role within the education sector.
  • Familiarity with the programs and services offered by the organization.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, including Word and Excel.
  • Experience with lead management and student management software systems.
  • Understanding of relevant regulatory requirements in admissions.
  • Basic mathematical and accounting skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong prioritization skills to ensure critical tasks are completed first.
  • Professional demeanor, including courtesy, composure under pressure, empathy, and a commitment to outstanding customer service.
  • Willingness to occasionally work flexible hours beyond a standard shift as needed.
