Parts and Accessories Operations Analyst

Note: This position is a contract role.

The Operations Specialist will play a crucial role in advancing the Honda, Acura, Powersports, and Power Equipment accessory business by meeting accessory sales objectives through the development and execution of marketing initiatives, online content, printed materials, and various sales tools. This role will also involve the maintenance and updating of accessory data through application charts, installation guides, and image assets.

Additionally, the specialist will collaborate closely with the Parts and Inventory teams regarding accessory procurement and pricing strategies. Responsibilities will also include managing parts and service financial records, processing vendor invoices, and handling direct ship sales transactions while providing reports on parts, accessories, and service performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Developing advertising materials for Auto and Powersports accessories, including brochures, reviewing and approving image assets, and offering creative direction for both printed and online content.
  2. Managing accessory programs for Auto and Powersports, including new model introductions and special initiatives.
  3. Coordinating the comprehensive rollout of accessory programs, ensuring order information is updated and collaborating with Parts, Logistics, and warehouses for timely deliveries.
  4. Maintaining and updating the Accessory Application Chart for dealer reference.
  5. Conducting accessory pricing analysis, including evaluations for new models and special programs, as well as monthly assessments of pricing gaps and competitive positioning.
  6. Providing accessory forecasting, analyzing historical data to ensure adequate stock levels for new launches.
  7. Offering support and information to dealers or zone staff regarding accessory details or programs.
  8. Updating the Oils/Chemicals Application Chart for dealer use.
  9. Managing bookkeeping tasks, including processing payments and tracking financial transactions.
  10. Reconciling Parts and Service budget expenditures monthly and annually with relevant stakeholders.
  11. Processing direct ship parts sales transactions, including managing daily EDI files from vendors and reconciling accounts monthly.
  12. Preparing scheduled and ad hoc reports related to parts, accessories, and service, while revising macro files to enhance departmental efficiency.
Qualifications:
  1. College Diploma in a relevant field.
  2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in Automotive, Marketing/Advertising, or Accounting/Finance.
  3. Bilingual proficiency in French and English is advantageous.
  4. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential; knowledge of VBA programming/macros is a plus, along with intermediate skills in MS Word and PowerPoint.
  5. Familiarity with accounting software such as SAP or Ariba is beneficial.
  6. Intermediate-level experience with Photoshop or design software.
  7. Experience working with data cubes for data extraction is an asset (e.g., BI Reports, Cognos, MS Access).
  8. Ability to foster and maintain positive working relationships with team members.
  9. Capability to build collaborative relationships with internal departments and affiliated subsidiaries.
  10. A preference for a team-oriented management approach that emphasizes shared results.
