Job Summary

RS SIDHU TRUCKING LTD. is seeking a skilled Dump Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for safely operating a dump truck to transport goods and materials to various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain Equipment: Safely operate a dump truck to transport goods and materials, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Plan Routes and Deliveries: Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Load and unload goods from the dump truck, ensuring that cargo is secure and properly handled.
  • Inspect and Maintain Vehicle: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition, and perform routine maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Communicate with Dispatch: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, and record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Ensure Safety and Security: Ensure the safety and security of cargo, and adhere to all relevant safety protocols and regulations.
Requirements
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence: Possess a valid Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks).
  • Valid Driver's Licence: Hold a valid driver's licence.
  • Physical Demands: Be physically fit and able to work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively with dispatch and other team members.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, with varying weather conditions and physical demands. A valid driver's licence and Class 1/1F/A Licence are required for this position.
