Position Overview

As a Food and Beverage Server at AJ's Brooklyn Pizza Joint, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests. Your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing and serving specialty dishes directly to customers at their tables.
  • Presenting bills to patrons and processing payments through various methods including cash, credit, or debit cards.
  • Describing menu items and daily specials to enhance the dining experience.
  • Offering guidance on menu selections to assist customers in making informed choices.
  • Maintaining cleanliness by clearing and sanitizing tables, trays, and chairs.
  • Providing recommendations on wine selections and performing sensory evaluations.
  • Greeting guests warmly, presenting menus, and answering inquiries regarding food and beverages.
  • Supervising fellow servers and bussing staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Taking customer orders and relaying them accurately to kitchen and bar staff.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • No formal education required.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Work Environment

This position is permanent and requires a commitment of 40 hours per week. The primary language of communication in the workplace is English.
