Job Title: Data Analyst

At BGIS, we are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our Construction Program Management Team. As a Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting our team by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex data to inform business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and enter data from various sources, including design drawings, emails, and Excel documents, into our Program Management Tracking Tools.
  • Develop complex formulas in Excel to facilitate the management and update of Tracking Tools, Budget Estimates, Spend Projections, RFQ Evaluations, and Reporting.
  • Identify opportunities to maximize data usage, applying modeling and optimization methods to develop new strategies and improve Program Management Tools.
  • Ensure Program Management Tracking Tools, graphs, pivots, and other documents are functional, updated, relevant, customized, and available for team use ongoingly.
  • Define data requirements and gather and validate information, using judgment and statistical tests.
  • Develop data structures and pipelines to organize, collect, cleanse, and standardize data to generate insights and address reporting needs.
Requirements:
  • College Diploma or University degree in computer science, data engineering, actuarial science, or equivalent with a focus on data management and/or Project Management.
  • 2+ years of strong Data Processing (alpha and numeric) experience using MS Excel.
  • 2+ years of experience in quantitative analysis, data modeling, reporting, and data-visualization.
  • Advanced skills in computer technology, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook).
  • Ability to perform ad-hoc, strategic analysis of structured and unstructured data across multiple data sources.
  • Ability to define data requirements and gather and validate information, using judgment and statistical tests.
  • Well-versed in knowledge of creating algorithms, identifying patterns, and insights from structured and unstructured data sets utilizing graphs, trees, and/or other data representation techniques as required.
