Position Overview

WB Games Montréal, a segment of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment (WBIE), is in search of a Senior Environment Artist to enhance their creative team.

Your Role...

In this position, you will collaborate closely with fellow artists and the environment team to produce top-notch visual components and props. Your duties will encompass the creation and refinement of artistic assets for designated sections of the game, as well as aiding the team in establishing processes, workflows, and aesthetic objectives.

Key Responsibilities...

  • Develop models and textures for both hard and organic surfaces while following the defined artistic vision.
  • Generate and iterate on a diverse range of models throughout all stages of production.
  • Set quality benchmarks and objectives through the development of high-caliber environment assets.
  • Work alongside the design team to suggest artistic solutions that align with gameplay needs.
  • Constructively identify and address level design obstacles.
  • Regularly showcase your work to management and apply the feedback received.
  • Guide other artists on the team, sharing your expertise to elevate overall team capabilities.
  • Collaborate with the team to establish best practices and workflows.
  • Optimize and troubleshoot levels to comply with memory constraints and design requirements.
  • Engage with the game to grasp its development and provide insightful feedback on playable areas.

Qualifications & Skills...

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a video game artist on AAA projects.
  • Excels in a collaborative setting with strong communication abilities.
  • Capable of creatively addressing challenges with focus and determination.
  • Proficient in 3D Studio Max or Maya.
  • Professional experience with a game engine, preferably Unreal Engine.
  • Familiarity with Zbrush is advantageous.
  • Experience in shader creation is a plus.
  • Genuine passion for and knowledge of video games.
  • A portfolio or website that showcases your artistic talents.
