In this position, you will work in close collaboration with the environment team to produce top-notch environment art and props. Your responsibilities will include crafting and enhancing art assets for designated areas of the game, as well as contributing to the establishment of processes and workflows. Regularly presenting your work to the team, gathering feedback, and ensuring coherence with the artistic direction of the game are crucial components of this role. Effective communication with level designers is vital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-quality environment models and textures
  • Create a variety of assets throughout all stages of production
  • Collaborate with designers during level development
  • Constructively tackle design challenges
  • Showcase work to leadership and adapt based on input
  • Guide and mentor fellow artists within the team
  • Establish best practices for production workflows
  • Optimize and troubleshoot levels
  • Engage with the game to provide informed insights

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a game artist, with involvement in AAA titles
  • Ability to excel in a collaborative setting
  • Proficient in 3D Studio Max or Maya
  • Familiarity with a professional game engine, with knowledge of Unreal Engine preferred
  • A genuine passion for video games
