Position Summary:
The Logistics Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing the efficient operation of the company's fleet at the Brampton facility. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, this position is responsible for optimizing shipping processes and ensuring that all delivery commitments are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all shipping activities to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to enhance fleet performance.
  • Coordinate shipments between various locations for maximum efficiency.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external carriers to secure competitive rates and capacity.
  • Create purchase orders for carrier services.
  • Manage local deliveries and schedule inbound pick-ups to optimize fleet utilization.
  • Ensure timely loading of pick-up customers.
  • Work closely with Plant Supervisors to align shipping workloads.
  • Document coaching and disciplinary actions for drivers.
  • Utilize route planning software to enhance delivery capacity.
  • Maintain accurate records of fuel receipts and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Monitor GPS systems for driver hours and address any discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations regarding work hours.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the shipping area.
  • Promote a culture of teamwork and uphold company values.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in a logistics coordination role.
  • Positive attitude with excellent customer service and time management skills.
  • Highly organized and proactive.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with ERP systems.
