Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a compassionate and caring Licensed Practical Nurse to join our care team in one of our long-term care facilities in Burnaby, BC.

Job Summary:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will be responsible for providing personal and nursing care to residents, administering medications, and supervising care staff. You will also be responsible for performing assessments, planning, and implementing care plans, and providing education to residents and their families.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform assessments, plans, and implements care plans for residents
  • Administer oral and subcutaneous medications in accordance with pharmaceutical and organizational policies and procedures
  • Direct supervision of care staff to meet resident's needs
  • Provide personal care to patients, including assisting with bathing, dressing, and toileting
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing Program
  • Current registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of BC
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge and background in Dementia care is an asset
