Job Summary:
  • Perform assessments, plan, implement, and provide personal and nursing care to residents.
  • Administer oral and subcutaneous medications in accordance with pharmaceutical and organizational policies and procedures.
  • Direct supervision of care staff to meet resident's needs.
  • Provide personal care to patients, including assisting with bathing, dressing, care of skin and hair, changing beds, assisting with toilet needs, and overseeing patient exercise routines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing Program.
  • Current registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of BC.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge and background in Dementia care is a strong asset.
  • Desire to continually stay educated in relevant areas of long-term care and nursing is a big asset.
Work Schedule:
  • 8 hour shift.
  • Day shift, evening shift, Monday to Friday, morning shift, night shift, on call, and weekends as needed.
