About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Property Accountant to join our team at CB Canada. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of our real estate properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete full cycle accounting for real estate properties, including processing vendor invoices, managing expense reimbursements, and reconciling credit card transactions.
  • Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, including reconciling tenant statements and generating tenant charge-back invoices.
  • Review expenses and allocate them to the appropriate property and expense accounts.
  • Generate monthly accounts receivable reports.
  • Prepare various reports, including tax receipts and move-in/move-out reports as needed by relevant parties.
  • Execute daily processes and controls accurately and promptly, ensuring compliance with company policies.
Requirements
  • AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated strong organizational and follow-up abilities.
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
  • Preferred experience in property accounting.
  • Highly preferred experience in residential real estate.
  • Thorough understanding of Full Cycle Accounting.
  • Experience with bank reconciliations is a plus.
  • Familiarity with property accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in working with spreadsheets and databases.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, particularly when engaging with individuals from technical and financial backgrounds.
