Job Description

A highly skilled Maintenance Operations Specialist is required to join the team at MAPEI Inc. This is a challenging role that involves coordinating and completing all plant maintenance activities, including planning, purchasing, and project management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to service calls and troubleshoot issues
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans for the plant and equipment
  • Perform repairs on mechanical components, including pneumatics, hydraulics, and gearboxes
  • Operate electro-mechanical components, including sensors, PLCs, and relay logic
  • Lead plant improvement projects, either independently or in collaboration with internal or external resources
  • Contribute to the plant's overall improvement through the application of 5S and continuous improvement methods
  • Utilize creativity to optimize the maintenance process within the plant and MAPEI Inc.
  • Work flexibly across shifts as required
  • Train operators to perform maintenance tasks properly
  • Plan and manage all maintenance activities using the CMMS and control maintenance costs using budget software
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to government regulations and the Occupational Health and Safety Act

  • A strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work across shifts
  • Basic knowledge of welding and electro-mechanical components
