Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at The Bridge Patisserie & Cafe. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our food service operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively.
- Train and Develop Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles.
- Manage Inventory and Supplies: Manage inventory and supplies, including requisitioning food and kitchen supplies, and maintaining records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
- Plan Menus and Ensure Quality: Plan menus and ensure that food meets quality control standards, working closely with our culinary team to develop and implement new menu items.
- Recruit and Hire Staff: Recruit and hire staff, including food service staff, and manage their training and development.
- Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a food service environment.
- Language: Fluency in English.
- Availability: Availability to work 30 hours per week.
- Client Focus: Excellent client focus and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, customers, and other stakeholders.
- Flexibility: Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to changing priorities.
