Job Summary:

As an Avionics Systems Specialist with IMP Group, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our aircraft avionics systems. This position requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate and maintain support equipment and hand/power tools, adhering to strict safety protocols and procedures.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and maintenance tasks on aircraft avionics systems and components, using technical data and documentation to guide your work.
  • Collaborate with Avionics Systems Technicians to perform complex maintenance tasks, including disassembly, repair, and reassembly of avionics systems.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures and protocols, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Participate in quality assurance and control activities, ensuring that all work meets the highest standards of quality and safety.

Requirements:

  • Hold a recognized aircraft maintenance or apprenticeship program certification, or equivalent foreign military and/or civilian basic trade-training program.
  • Be a licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) or hold a Transport Canada license, or be eligible for Transport Canada license.
  • Have a strong understanding of aircraft avionics systems, including communications, navigational, radar, data management, instrument, and electrical power distribution systems.
  • Be proficient in reading and interpreting technical documentation, including technical manuals, drawings, and Technical Data Packages (TDPs).
  • Meet the requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Secret Level II Security Clearance through PSPC- Contract Security Program, and Transport Canada RAIC clearance.
