About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Architectural Technologist to join our team at Doug Tarry Homes. As an Architectural Technologist, you will play a key role in the design and development of our residential construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop three-dimensional (3-D) models with computer-aided design (CAD) software
  • Create two-dimensional (2-D) drawings with computer-aided design (CAD) software
  • Analyze technical documents and reports to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations
  • Assist in supervising construction projects to ensure timely completion and quality of work
  • Write specifications for materials and equipment
  • Monitor and inspect work in progress to ensure adherence to design and construction standards
  • Assist in design development and coordination with cross-functional teams
  • Prepare presentation graphics and drawings to communicate design concepts and project status
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other computer-aided design software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
