Barista Team Member

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Barista to join our team at Second Cup at the Killam Library at Dalhousie University. As a Barista, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing high-quality beverages and food products, and maintaining a clean and welcoming store environment.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Provide legendary customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and serving beverages and food products in a timely and efficient manner.
- Food and Beverage Preparation: Prepare high-quality beverages and food products consistently by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
- Cash Handling: Process customer transactions using POS, balance float, and maintain accurate cash handling procedures.
- Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and welcoming store environment by following Second Cup operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security.
- Teamwork: Assist with store opening and closing, and work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales and customer satisfaction goals.
- Experience: 1+ years' experience working in the food and beverage industry.
- Skills: Exceptional customer service skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and ability to lift, push, and pull minimum 25 lbs.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
