About the Role

Xena's Bread and Butter is seeking a skilled Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience for our patrons.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet customers, take orders, and serve beverages in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Beverage Preparation: Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and serve simple food items, such as pastries and snacks.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the kitchen, dining area, and restrooms.
  • Inventory Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies, including food, beverages, and cleaning products.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless service and a positive customer experience.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Language: English.
  • Availability: Available for shift or on-call work.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications: First Aid Certificate, Food Safety Certificate, Safe Food Handling certificate, Serving It Right Certificate, and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Conventional oven, electronic cash register, and grill.
  • Specialization or Experience: Green economy sector.
