Respiratory Therapist (RT) - Pulmonary Diagnostics Specialist

Job Summary:

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join the Pulmonary Diagnostics team at Richmond Hospital. As a key member of the interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality respiratory care to clients/patients, working independently and collaboratively with other healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide respiratory care to assigned clients/patients, including pulmonary functions and technical procedures.
  • Consult, confer, and collaborate with other healthcare providers to enhance quality of life and client/patient outcomes.
  • Perform pulmonary functions and technical procedures related to assisting physicians with bronchoscopy, setting up equipment in labs, administering tests, and monitoring client/patient responses.
  • Prepare and maintain equipment, and participate in designated hospital committees/teams and approved research projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program.
  • Successful completion of the Health Professionals Testing Canada Credentialing Exam.
  • One year's recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
  • Eligibility for membership with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists and BC Society of Respiratory Therapists.
