Job Title: Indigenous Land Coordinator

The Manitoba Government is seeking a highly skilled Indigenous Land Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Property Services department, you will play a critical role in providing technical expertise related to Treaty Land Entitlement (TLE) and First Nations land exchange selections.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical expertise on TLE and First Nations land exchange selections, including departmental right-of-way tenure issues.
  • Coordinate with the Indigenous Consultation Branch on consultation activities.
  • Summarize documents and maintain accurate written records related to TLE, First Nations, and land exchanges.
  • Determine the appropriateness of proposed closings of departmental roads, drains, and undeveloped road allowances in connection with Manitoba's TLE Program and First Nation acquisition efforts.
Qualifications:
  • Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or suitable combination of experience and training with Indigenous land matters.
  • Experience working with multi-levels of government and with Indigenous and northern communities on land-related matters.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
