WSP Canada is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our Land Development and Municipal Engineering team in Southwest Ontario. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading business development, staff development, and project delivery for the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning to increase market share for WSP in Land Development and Municipal Engineering
- Build and lead a team of professionals in the Kitchener office
- Develop and mentor staff to achieve business objectives
- Business Development with existing and new clients, including proposal preparation and contract negotiation
- Oversee project management to ensure client expectations and WSP standards are met
- Act as a liaison between clients and approving authorities for project approvals
- Manage financial aspects of projects, including budgeting and cost control
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in a consulting environment, with a focus on Southwest Ontario land development projects
- Extensive project management experience on land development and municipal engineering projects
- Registered as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) in Ontario
- Expert knowledge of the land development approvals process in Ontario, with emphasis on the Southwest Ontario region
- Strong client management skills, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong financial and project management skills
- Valid driver's license in Ontario
- Well-developed network within the land development industry
