Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Toku Japanese Restaurant. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food preparation and service areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Food Preparation

Direct and coordinate the activities of our food preparation staff to ensure that all menu items are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Train and Develop Staff

Provide on-the-job training and coaching to our food preparation staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties effectively.

Estimate and Manage Inventory

Estimate the quantity of ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation and manage our inventory levels to minimize waste and ensure that we have sufficient stock to meet customer demand.

Ensure Quality and Safety Standards

Ensure that all food and service meet our quality control standards and that our kitchen and service areas are maintained in a clean and safe environment.

Address Customer Complaints

Respond promptly and professionally to customer complaints and concerns to ensure that we provide excellent customer service.

Maintain Records and Reports

Prepare and submit regular reports on sales, inventory, and other key performance indicators to inform our business decisions.

Requirements
  • Education

College or CEGEP diploma in a related field such as hospitality or culinary arts.

Experience

At least 2 years of experience in a food service management role, preferably in a restaurant or food service establishment.

Language

Fluent in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with staff and customers.

Work Hours

32 hours per week, with flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings and weekends.
