Stationary Engine Mechanic

About the Role
At BGIS, we are seeking a highly skilled Stationary Engineman to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our central heating and cooling plants.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain plant equipment and systems, including boilers, chillers, generators, and distribution systems.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and overhauls of plant equipment.
- Conduct standardized tests to determine chemical concentrations in water and adjust chemical feed rates.
- Investigate reports and take action on conditions that affect the safety and security of the plant and staff.
- Prepare incident reports and perform housekeeping duties.
Requirements
- Stationary Engineman certification (MMF class 4)
- Significant knowledge of heating and cooling plant equipment and systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical equipment problems and implement solutions.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
