Key Responsibilities

  • Event Preparation
    • Assist in the setup and maintenance of event spaces to ensure a seamless and efficient experience for our guests.
    • Develop a strong knowledge of our event menu items to effectively communicate with guests and provide recommendations.
  • Guest Service
    • Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, ensuring a positive and memorable experience.
    • Deliver food and beverages to tables as directed by management, maintaining a high level of quality and presentation.
    • Clear plates, cutlery, and glasses from tables and return them to the dish area, adhering to our high standards of cleanliness and organization.
  • Quality Control
    • Monitor food quality and presentation standards, ensuring that all dishes meet our high expectations.
    • Adhere to all O&B health and safety standards, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our guests and staff.
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Perform additional duties as assigned or required, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
    • Contribute to a positive guest experience by interacting with guests in a friendly and professional manner, adhering to the steps of service.
    • Answer questions about food, beverages, wine, and event functions and services, demonstrating a strong knowledge of our offerings.
    • Follow all food safety standards and systems, ensuring the highest level of quality and safety.
    • Be aware of any special requests, including guest allergies, and take necessary precautions to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in event management, hospitality, or a related field, or equivalent experience in a similar environment.
  • Smart Serve Certification is a requirement.
  • High attention to detail, with the ability to remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to multi-task, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with guests and colleagues.
  • Ability to maintain a level of professional urgency and momentum, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Availability to work evenings, nights, and weekends, as required.
