About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainability Officer to join our team at Top Shelf Distillers Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering programs related to scientific fields, advising senior executives on environmental issues, and conducting research to support our sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer programs related to scientific fields, including developing and implementing strategies to reduce our environmental footprint.
  • Advise senior executives on environmental issues related to our activities, providing expert guidance on sustainable practices and policies.
  • Analyze the impacts, benefits, and costs of transportation initiatives, identifying opportunities to reduce our carbon emissions and improve our environmental performance.
  • Conduct research to support our sustainability goals, including studying and evaluating chemical or biological hazards and stresses in the workplace.
  • Develop programs related to scientific fields, including establishing internal programs to promote responsible attitudes towards the environment.
  • Evaluate the efficacy of air pollution control devices, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to reduce our environmental impact.
  • Gather samples of dust, gases, mists, or vapors, analyzing them to identify potential environmental hazards.
  • Monitor budgets allocated to environmental programs, ensuring that we are meeting our sustainability goals and objectives.
  • Monitor environmental non-compliance and required corrective actions, taking steps to prevent future non-compliance.
  • Report information to supervisor, providing regular updates on our sustainability progress and any challenges or opportunities that arise.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as environmental science, sustainability, or a related field.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a leadership or management role.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex environmental concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to multitask, with a strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Team player with a strong commitment to sustainability and environmental protection.
