Job Title: Research Coordinator

**Job Summary:**

The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is seeking a highly motivated and organized Research Coordinator to support a mixed-methods research evaluation of two Supervised Consumption Sites in Toronto. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a team of researchers to conduct ethnographic fieldwork, surveys, qualitative interviews, and literature reviews.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct ethnographic fieldwork, including in-person site visits and data collection
  • Conduct surveys with community members and staff members of the supervised consumption sites
  • Conduct qualitative interviews with staff members and clients of the supervised consumption sites
  • Conduct basic statistical analyses of quantitative data
  • Conduct literature reviews and summarize evidence into various formats
  • Draft results for publication in peer-reviewed journals
  • Complete project progress reports and perform other administrative duties as required

Requirements:

  • Masters level degree in a health- or sociological-related field
  • At least two years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge related to addictions, drug policy, and supervised consumption sites is an asset
  • Experience interacting with individuals in academic, research, and community health service settings
  • Strong research skills, particularly in qualitative research
  • Strong writing skills, as demonstrated through authoring academic publications and/or reports
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience conducting qualitative interviews and data analyses
  • Experience conducting literature reviews and knowledge of reference management software
  • Experience preparing research ethics applications
  • Experience developing and administering data collection tools using online data capture platforms
  • Experience conducting quantitative data analyses
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
