The Finance and Compliance Specialist will be instrumental in safeguarding the fiscal integrity of the organization. This role encompasses the supervision of daily financial activities, ensuring adherence to accounting principles, and delivering precise financial statements. The Finance and Compliance Specialist will collaborate closely with the Vice President of Finance and various departments to further the company's financial goals. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in construction finance, outstanding analytical capabilities, and the capacity to excel in a family-oriented business setting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Execute month-end closing processes and reconciliations for assets, deferred income, liabilities, overhead, and more, alongside the current team in an efficient and timely manner.Evaluate financial outcomes of individual entities on a monthly basis.Assess development initiatives from a financial standpoint.Review specific project results by revenue category, ensuring that we achieve our targeted profit margins.Support special initiatives and perform ad hoc financial assessments as needed.Assist the Controller with annual financial documentation as required.Remain informed on modifications in tax legislation and regulations, evaluating their implications for the organization.Perform additional tasks as directed by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. A CPA designation is mandatory.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret financial information and provide recommendations.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with various stakeholders.Proficiency in accounting software and advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with ERP systems is advantageous.A collaborative approach to work effectively with other departments and team members.
