**Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled Grounds Maintenance Specialist to join our team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. This role involves a range of responsibilities, including landscaping, snow removal, and other property-specific duties.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Assist with landscaping tasks, such as weeding, pruning, and trimming trees and plants
  • Cut grass and maintain lawns and gardens
  • Remove litter and garbage from the property
  • Lay sod or seed, plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees
  • Perform snow removal duties during winter months, including plowing snow, salting/shoveling steps by hand and on the truck
  • Pressure wash decks, walkways, and parking garages
  • Perform minor asphalt repairs
  • Operate zero-turn mowers, tractors, and navigate trailers
  • Participate in shared on-call duties throughout the year

**Requirements**

  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience with snow removal and operating a plow truck
  • Ability to work as a team and under minimal supervision
  • Effective communication and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexibility to work various hours and participate in on-call duties
  • Valid NS driver's license and clean driver's abstract
