Avenue II aims to bridge the gap between the community and individuals with developmental disabilities, continuously enhancing their quality of life through various services, including employment assistance, community outreach, and independent living support.
Position Summary
The Finance Officer will report directly to the Executive Director and will be tasked with the organization, maintenance, and analysis of the organization's financial records.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee financial documentation and reporting.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance in financial transactions and records.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance financial processes.
- Prepare detailed financial reports for management review.
- Implement and maintain effective financial control measures.
Required Qualifications
- A degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline from an accredited institution, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of five years of relevant experience in finance or accounting roles.
- Possession of a professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA) is advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with accounting software, ideally Adagio and/or Paydirt Payroll.
- Demonstrated ability to produce accurate financial reports and maintain financial integrity.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Experience in managing comprehensive accounting operations.
- Proven track record in developing and executing financial control systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
