About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead our team at Island Gymnastics Academy. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and daily operations of our programs and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Develop and implement organizational policies and programs
    • Authorize and establish major departments and senior staff positions
    • Coordinate the work of regions, divisions, or departments
  • Strategic Planning
    • Establish objectives for the organization and formulate policies and programs
    • Represent the organization in negotiations or official functions
  • Human Resources
    • Select and delegate authority to middle managers, directors, or executive staff
    • Create optimum working conditions for staff
  • Communication and Representation
    • Represent the organization in official functions
    • Delegate representatives to act on behalf of the organization
  • Operational Management
    • Allocate resources to implement organizational policies and programs
    • Authorize and organize the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff positions
Requirements
  • Education
    • College/CEGEP or equivalent experience
  • Experience
    • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a senior management role
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent leadership and management skills
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
