Under the supervision of the department Manager, the Maintenance Associate is tasked with various upkeep and maintenance responsibilities, including shop cleaning, tool organization, floor sweeping, waste disposal, and additional duties as necessary. This role is classified as safety-sensitive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness in the shop and yard, covering areas such as floors, restrooms, break rooms, and wash bays.
- Organize and store parts and tools in designated locations.
- Handle laundry tasks and ensure that cleaned items are returned to their proper places.
- Conduct general maintenance on shop tools, equipment, and vehicles.
- Transport supplies and equipment between storage and work areas manually or using a hand truck.
- Assist in cleaning and servicing equipment.
- Support operations in the bulk plant as needed.
- Engage in general assembly tasks, which may involve operating automated machinery and various power and hand tools.
- Acquire knowledge of Magnum's equipment and its components as they relate to cementing operations in oil and gas wells.
- Participate in training and development initiatives.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid driver's license (non-graduated) with a clean driving record.
- Physical capability to lift/move heavy items up to 23 kg, along with bending, standing, and climbing for extended periods.
- Legally authorized to work in the country where the position is located.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a workshop environment.
- Familiarity with operating and maintaining automated machinery, as well as hand and power tools.
- A strong desire to learn and grow.
- Exemplary work ethic, positive demeanor, reliability, and dependability.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing circumstances.
- Understanding of safety protocols.
- Team-oriented with a focus on customer service.
- Proactive with a results-driven mindset.
Asset Qualifications:
- Interest in obtaining a Class 1 (Canada) / Class A CDL (U.S.) and pursuing a career in oil and gas field operations.
- Mechanical aptitude.
