Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a key member of our store management team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing store operations, and leading a team of associates to deliver exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Drive Sales Growth

    Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth, achieve sales and profit goals, and manage budgets and sales forecasts.

  2. Manage Store Operations

    Create operational plans, prioritize tasks, and delegate responsibilities to managers and associates to ensure optimal store conditions, effective merchandise presentation, and accurate pricing.

  3. Lead Associates

    Conduct regular store meetings, communicate operational direction, and drive engagement among associates. Recognize and reward accomplishments, and provide opportunities for professional growth.

  4. Ensure Customer Satisfaction

    Serve customers as an ambassador for the store, greet customers, seek feedback, and resolve customer complaints and issues within company guidelines.

  5. Support Community Initiatives

    Participate in and support community events, develop relationships with key community groups, and participate in company-sponsored programs and events.

  6. Comply with Company Standards

    Ensure compliance with company standards and procedures, including cash handling, merchandise management, and asset protection.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of retail operations, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
