Job Title: Industrial Labourer

GFL Environmental is seeking a skilled Industrial Labourer to join our team in supporting the liquids line of business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and maintain assigned projects on a daily basis.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of tools, equipment, and the Industrial Services Shop.
  • Perform power washing and high-pressure water blasting as required.
  • Conduct line snaking, drain, and pipe inspections as needed.
  • Carry out industrial cleaning of chemical non-hazardous and hazardous wastes.
  • Assist with vacuum truck and plant operations as required.
  • Participate in confined space entry and rescue operations for Industrial Services Projects.
  • Work in tight or cramped spaces.
  • Operate equipment while wearing a respirator or supplied air breathing apparatus.
  • Perform shoveling, jack hammering, squeegee, scraping, and heavy lifting as required.
  • Operate a pick-up truck, utility trailer, forklift, excavator, bobcat, etc.
  • Operate an aerial boom lift/scissor lift as required.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
  • A minimum of a G class license is required.
  • Must be willing to be clean-shaven.
  • Ability to work flexible hours/shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends/holidays.
  • 2-5 years' experience in industrial cleaning and maintenance is strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience with vacuum trucks, industrial power-washing, or water-blasting, or liquid waste industry experience is strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience with confined space entry or work at heights is an asset.
  • Experience working with respirators and supplied air systems is an asset.
  • Must be comfortable driving and maneuvering a pick-up truck and trailer unit.
