Job Title: Child Minding Instructor

The YMCA of Northern Alberta is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Child Minding Instructor. As a key member of our preschool program team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction and care to our young members.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse group of children and families, promoting social, emotional, and cognitive development. As a Child Minding Instructor, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of our members
  • Providing a safe and nurturing environment that encourages learning and exploration
  • Building strong relationships with parents and caregivers to ensure a collaborative approach to child development
  • Working collaboratively with other staff members to achieve program goals and objectives
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in a preschool or childcare setting
  • Certifications in Standard First Aid and CPR-C
  • Able to obtain a Police Information Check and Vulnerable Sector Check
