Child Care Instructor

The YMCA of Northern Alberta is seeking a dedicated and interactive individual to work with staff and volunteers as a Child-Minding Instructor. This role involves providing quality instruction of all preschool programs, promoting a positive and inclusive environment for children to learn and grow.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all administrative duties related to programs and members are accurately completed, facilitating high-quality programs and activities, and actively supervising members and volunteers during programming.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to the YMCA's values of diversity and social inclusion, and will be able to work effectively in a team environment. A minimum of 18 years of age, high school diploma or equivalent, and previous experience working with children are required. Standard First Aid & CPR-C certifications are also necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
- Role model recruitment and retention of volunteers and members.
- Deliver high-quality service by maintaining positive interpersonal relationships with staff, volunteers, and members.
- Ensure all administrative duties related to programs and members are accurately completed.
- Facilitate high-quality programs and activities for program members.
- Actively supervise members and volunteers during programming.
- Ensure programs start and finish on time.
- Work with parents about their concerns and demands, and collect fees from them on each visit.
- Follow all YMCA standards at all times.
- Maintain all equipment and follow safety standards.
- Ensure all safety documents are completed accurately.
- Comply with the Centre's emergency response and procedures.
- Act as a first responder to health and safety issues.
