About the Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate and professional Long Term Care Assistant to join our team at Orchard Court in Kentville, Nova Scotia.

As a Long Term Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing one-on-one time with residents to engage in meaningful conversations and activities
  • Assisting residents with daily tasks, such as eating and personal care
  • Supporting residents in recreation programming and activities
  • Monitoring residents' well-being and reporting any concerns to nursing staff
  • Participating in employee screening and temperature recording
  • Enforcing social distancing protocols and monitoring points of entry

About You

We are looking for candidates who possess:

  • A post-secondary education and valid CPR/First Aid training

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
