Are you passionate about horticulture and eager to be part of a dynamic team? If you thrive in a collaborative environment, we invite you to explore this opportunity.

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to join our Operations team as a Cultivation Support Specialist.

In this role, you will be responsible for...

  • Operational Support: Collaborate with the propagation Supervisor to assist in scheduling timelines for vegetative plants and clones. Oversee and execute live plant transfers, ensuring effective communication with all relevant stakeholders. Implement timely pest and disease control measures as necessary. Address and escalate any crop-related issues to the appropriate parties. Engage in various cultivation activities, including plant maintenance, cloning, transplanting, and sanitation.
  • Data Management: Contribute to data collection initiatives across all cultivation areas and work alongside other data teams. Collect samples for analyzing potency, terpene percentages, nutritional content, and potential pathogens. Coordinate with external laboratory partners to ensure successful sample shipments and timely data receipt. Maintain accurate database entries and manage data inputs and troubleshooting.
  • Analytical Reporting: Analyze and interpret data related to plant growth, yield, integrated pest management, and flower quality. Create clear and effective data visualizations using software tools such as Excel, R, and Power BI.
  • Documentation: Prepare and present reports on experimental results, research proposals, and data analyses to cultivation stakeholders. Maintain comprehensive project reports and update potency reports as new data becomes available.
  • Research and Development: Prioritize research initiatives in collaboration with cultivation leads. Design, plan, execute, and document experiments aimed at enhancing cultivation practices. Organize experimental project datasets transparently and systematically.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all paper and electronic documentation adheres to regulatory and company standards. Participate in health and safety committees as required, identifying and correcting unsafe conditions to prevent injuries and product loss.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Undertake other duties as assigned.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • A degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or Plant Science.

  • 1-2 years of experience in data collection is preferred.
  • Familiarity with R statistical software is advantageous.
  • Compliance with regulatory standards is mandatory.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • A strong work ethic, motivation, and a willingness to embrace challenges.
  • Ability to adapt and prioritize tasks in a dynamic work environment.

Additional Considerations:

  • Physical demands may include lifting and moving up to 30 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in varying temperatures.
