Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team at Apple Creek Animal Hospital in Markham, ON. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our veterinarians in delivering high-quality medical services.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, including physical examinations, patient assessment, and anesthesia monitoring.
- Prepare and maintain patient records, ensuring accurate and detailed documentation.
- Provide compassionate care to hospitalized patients and their owners, including administering medications and performing various medical tasks.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless patient care and efficient hospital operations.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest veterinary techniques and technologies.
Requirements
- Completion of a Veterinary Technician or AHT program.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and pet owners.
- Passion for animal care and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
