Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled Field Truck and Coach Technician to support our operations at Brandt. This role involves the maintenance and repair of truck and trailer equipment in a mobile setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess the operational condition of equipment, diagnose issues, and perform repairs on-site.
  • Utilize tools and materials safely and effectively.
  • Employ hand tools, power tools, and computer systems for repairs and diagnostics.
  • Document all service actions, machine details, and time spent on work orders accurately.
  • Identify potential hazards during service tasks and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Maintain records of maintenance, inspections, and diagnostics using software applications.
  • Locate and order necessary parts using parts catalogs and liaise with parts personnel.
  • Conduct road tests on equipment and verify the functionality of attachments as needed.

Essential Qualifications

  • Must be a Certified Journeyperson in the Truck and Coach technician trade or possess an equivalent qualification.
  • Experience with CAT, CUMMINS, and PACCAR engines is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with electrical diagnostics and aftertreatment systems is preferred.
  • Prior mechanical experience in a workshop setting is beneficial.
  • Registration in the 310T trade is required.
  • Strong commitment to customer service and excellence in service delivery.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with customers and team members.
  • Ability to lift weights up to 50 pounds.
