As a Project Accountant in our Montreal office, you will play a vital role in our operations:

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clerical and data entry support to fulfill contractual obligations related to operational and fundamental accounting.
  • Ensure timely and precise processing of all accounts payable and receivable.
  • Generate ad hoc reports and analyses for project teams as required.
  • Assist in gathering information for both internal and external financial reporting needs.
  • Compile client billing packages in line with contract stipulations, ensuring prompt payment.
  • Prepare bank deposits and cash receipt entries efficiently.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma is essential.
  • A Bachelor's degree or diploma in a relevant field is advantageous.
  • Some student experience or 6 months to 1 year of experience in accounting or administration is preferred.
  • Familiarity with project forecasting and budgeting processes.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles, including ledger maintenance and cash flow management.
  • Understanding of project costing principles, recoveries, insurance, and accounting-related contract/subcontract requirements.
  • Awareness of subcontract purchase order terms, including insurance and subcontractor default insurance requirements.
  • Basic comprehension of lien rights.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with accounting software is a plus.
