About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Countertop Installation Specialist to join our team at Shiny Stone Care. As a Countertop Installation Specialist, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining countertops in residential and commercial settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Maintenance: Install and maintain countertops made of marble, granite, and other materials.
  • Site Preparation: Prepare surfaces for installation, including measuring, marking, and cleaning.
  • Tile Setting: Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base.
  • Repair and Replacement: Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installation.
  • Tool Operation: Operate hand and power cutting tools to cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings.
  • Material Handling: Mix, apply, and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using hand trowels.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Environment: Work outdoors in a noisy environment.
  • Work Setting: Work in a construction, service, residential, and commercial setting.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, attention to detail, and ability to work overtime.
  • Personal Suitability: Organized, reliable, and a team player.

  • Security Clearance: Basic security clearance.
  • Transportation: Valid driver's license.
