{"h2": "Position Overview", "p": "As a co-op student in the Electric Maintenance Planning team at FortisBC, you will have the opportunity to engage with engineers, managers, and other departments, gaining a deeper understanding of the organization's workings. You will work on maintenance planning and reliability tasks, including substation equipment commissioning, maintenance, auditing, and condition assessments.

Your responsibilities will include developing test procedures, performing site visits, analyzing equipment reliability, and delivering condition assessments. You will also prepare engineering investigations to troubleshoot equipment performance and assess equipment health to develop maintenance plans.

This is a full-time temporary student co-op opportunity with an 8-month term starting in January 2025. You will be required to work on-site and will have the opportunity to gain experience with electrical apparatuses, including power transformers, load tap-changers, and medium and high voltage circuit breakers.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, be enrolled in a Co-op program, and have a valid driver's license.
