Electrical Maintenance Planning Co-op

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Co-op student to join our Electrical Maintenance Planning team at FortisBC. As a Co-op student, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in electrical maintenance planning and work closely with our experienced engineers and technicians.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the development of maintenance plans and schedules for electrical equipment and systems.
- Conduct site visits to assess equipment condition and identify potential maintenance needs.
- Analyze equipment reliability and provide recommendations for optimal maintenance and replacement.
- Develop and implement test procedures for low, medium, and high voltage electrical equipment.
- Prepare engineering investigations to troubleshoot equipment performance and identify root causes of issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and optimal operation of the utility system.
- Bachelor of Engineering Student (Electrical or Mechanical) enrolled in a Co-op program.
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with electrical power systems and maintenance planning.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- General understanding of AutoCAD Drawing Viewer and Revu Bluebeam.
