Job Title: Telecommunications Equipment Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Equipment Specialist to join our team at AP-LINX IT SOLUTIONS INC.

Job Summary:

The Telecommunications Equipment Specialist will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications equipment, including cable signals, telephone systems, and network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installation and Maintenance: Install, arrange, remove, and maintain telephone equipment, wiring, and associated hardware.
  • Repair and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and locate equipment faults, and adjust, replace, or repair telecommunications equipment.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Test installed telephone systems to locate transmission faults, analyze test results, and adjust or repair switching systems, networks, and associated equipment and software.
  • Customer Service: Complete and maintain test and service reports, determine the nature, cause, and location of trouble, and operate computerized testing systems to conduct service tests on customer lines and equipment.
Requirements:
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in telecommunications equipment installation and repair.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent oral and written communication skills, flexibility, initiative, judgment, reliability, and teamwork skills.
