Role Overview: As an IT Solution Architect, you will serve as a crucial technical intermediary among Evertz clients, account management teams, Inside Technical Sales, Solutions Architects, R&D engineers, and project managers. Your primary responsibility will be to gather requirements, design, and document comprehensive enterprise solutions tailored for content delivery in broadcast and media applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the account management team to outline and document the scope of strategic systems based on Evertz's Content Delivery solutions.
- Develop system designs for intricate systems, accompanied by detailed documentation and functional specifications to facilitate the development of final quotations and contract terms.
- Identify and manage project risks by recognizing assumptions and gaps, working alongside engineering teams to mitigate risks before project deployment.
- Engage with clients and internal resources to design and document demonstrations and Proofs of Concept (POCs) for Evertz Content Delivery solutions.
- Act as a technical authority throughout the pre-sales phase of projects.
- Travel as necessary to client locations.
Qualifications:
- Educational background in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Broadcasting, or a related field.
- Practical experience in the broadcast, telecommunications, or electrical engineering sectors.
- Familiarity with various digital video and audio standards, including DVB, SMPTE 2022-6, SMPTE 2022-7, and SMPTE 2110.
- Understanding of digital video compression standards and codecs, such as MPEG and JPEG.
- Preferred knowledge of IP Networking concepts, including unicast, multicast, routing, switching, WAN, LAN, and VLAN.
- Preferred familiarity with content delivery applications, such as Headends, OTT, Contribution, and transport applications.
