Solutions Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect to join our team at Evertz Microsystems. As a key member of our Pre-Sales team, you will work closely with clients, account managers, and R&D engineers to design and document comprehensive solutions for Evertz end-to-end Software Defined Video Networking (SDVN) systems.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with account management to define and document IP Broadcasting system scopes based on Evertz technologies
- Assist customers and sales staff in selecting the right Evertz product/technology to meet end application needs
- Understand competitive offerings and position Evertz solutions to leverage key differentiators
- Refine system designs and provide accompanying documentation/requirements captures to drive development of final specifications and contract terms
- Lead proposal creation and refinement efforts
- Work with R&D on system designs and compliance documentation for RFI/RFP responses
- Identify and manage project risks/gaps by clearly stating assumptions and working with clients/internal resources to mitigate risks
- Design, develop, document, and execute critical demonstrations/Proof of Concept's (POC's) of Evertz products and technologies
- Ensure all documentation is in place to hand the project over to Deployment Teams once the opportunity has been won
- Education in Electronics/Electrical/Computers/Television Broadcasting/Technical Copywriting or related field
- Experience designing projects implemented in a broadcast solution environment
- Working knowledge of broadcast automation, device control, signal flow, media management, and desktop workflow
- Experience with Broadcast IT, with network infrastructure an asset
- Operational or Engineering experience working in a broadcast type facility
- Knowledge of current digital video compression standards and file types
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and manage deadlines in a fast-paced sales environment
